"Before" Pictures

I took pictures of the rooms on the first floor that we will be remodeling.  At the end of the project, I would like to try and line-up the "Before" pictures with the "After" shots.  Here's the way our first floor looks today:

Appliances!

We bought a few appliances for the kitchen.  We took the kids to Sears and ordered a wall oven/microwave combo, dishwasher and refrigerator   After researching about a gazillion different options, it was exciting to finally make a purchase.  They won't be delivered until the end of May, but that's fine.  We haven't started to demo yet.  We hope to have the contract signed by the end of this week.  Here are a few pictures of our purchases.

 

About Ready to Tear Down the Wall

We are just about ready to sign the contract with our contractor.  We are planning on using LaFollette Custom Homes in Williamston. We hope to sign the contract this week and begin construction in early May.  That means we will be packing up the kitchen and much of the 1st floor over the next few weeks!  

In the mean time, we have done a little digging in the kitchen ceiling to check-out beams and are letting the kids write on the wall that's coming down.  We took their measurements for fun!

I do not like the blue tape next to the gold walls.  Go State!

I wonder how tall they will be at the end of this project?
