We Made It!

It has been awhile since I last posted. We have been busy moving back into our first floor. We officially finished the project on Friday, September 13th! We are unpacked and getting settled into our first floor. We are really pleased with how the first floor turned out. I have quite a few pictures that I am posting of before and after below.

Good-bye Dumpster!

All The Appliances Are Working - except one...

Tonight, I made our first dinner completely above ground since May and it was delicious! We ate on our patio and it was a beautiful evening for outdoor dining. All of the appliances are in and working - except for the garbage disposal. They plugged it in and nothing happened. Well, at least we're getting there. 

The appliance I am most happy with is the dishwasher! I actually did the dishes tonight. Brian was in shock. I told him to not get too comfortable as I was just trying out my new toy and would be bored with it quickly.

All of the cabinet knobs and drawer pulls are in. They also finished the electrical and crown molding. Brian hung another set of curtains too! Tomorrow, Rod is going to start covering the posts on the island.

Brian and I had a bet - can the electricians finish today? 

I bet they could (and should) - and well, 

I lost... 

So, all of the lights are in, but some pretty major work needs to be finished. We still need a range plug, hot water tap plug, garbage disposal plug, dishwasher plug, island plug(s), craft room plug - there appears to be a theme here. They should be back tomorrow to finish. More trim has gone up and also they have started installing the cabinet hardware.
